Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation (4-week course)

Join Sal over the course of 4 weeks to help support the establishment and commitment to a consistent meditation practice.

Sal has first-hand experienced the benefits of meditation following a period of corporate burnout and stress induced anxiety. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and tools to build a consistent mindfulness based meditation practice and is beyond excited to bring this offering to the Grass Roots community.

All levels and experience welcome.

COMMITMENT: 1 x 45min session per week for 4 weeks:

  • Week 1: Oct 22nd or Oct 24th
  • Week 2: Oct 29th or Oct 31st
  • Week 3: Thurs Nov 7th (no Tues class due to Melb Cup)
  • Week 4: Nov 12th or 24th

  • Short practice

Week 2:

  • Connecting to body and breath
  • Foundations for an enduring practice
  • Breath practice
  • Concentration meditation practice

Week 3:

  • The mind as a friend
  • Pillars of mindfulness
  • Mindfulness meditation practice

Week 4:

  • Introduction to relaxation meditation
  • Restoring balance relaxation meditation (lying down)
  • Sound bath
